The Pioneers were up against the Jackrabbits Friday, battling it out under the lights and fanfare of the Homecoming festivities. The boys in blue put up a tough fight against Forney, but sadly were unable to find their footing despite several fantastic plays. Sophomore Tyler Reyes threw two touchdown passes to wide receiver Peyton Rhodes, and running back Jace Richardson ran a full 56 yards to score another touchdown in favor of the Pioneers, making it his second straight game with over 100 rushing yards! Though they put up a great offense, the Jackrabbits were able to find the tiny cracks in their defense and slip through, pulling ahead of the Pioneers and ending off the game 20-75. This is not the end, however, as the boys in blue close off this part of the season and take their first steps into the big leagues this week with district play!
Friday, September 26th, the Pioneers are on the road and headed to Mansfield for the first 3-6A game of the season.
