For the first time this season, Boswell saw the familiar sights and sounds of EMS ISD this past Tuesday, and though they weren't at home, the girls in blue played with a fervor that showed they were excited to be back on the court. Playing their district-mate, Chisholm Trail, the Lady Pioneers were victorious in all three sets with final scores of 25-6, 25-12, and 25-20. It was a hard-fought match that tested Boswell's teamwork and skill, with several standout performances shines on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Senior Brooklyn Williams and Sophomore Emma Stuhr lead the team in assists, tallying sixteen each, while Senior Avery Cartwright, Sophomore Jillian Smith, and Freshman Peyton Jackson chalked up nine, seven, and six kill respectively. The win not only shows the talent of the Lady Pioneers but also gives the community around Boswell a look at the great coaching to come from the new volleyball head coach, Dana Hill.
The Lady Pioneers continue their on-the-road gameplay Thursday, traveling to Northwest High School for one more tournament before they're back home.
